Overall Experience:

  • 8+ years of overall software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Medical Devices or other regulated industries (Pharma, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Finance preferred)

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a senior VBA Developer with strong automation experience to design, develop, and maintain solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of business processes in a regulated environment.
  • The role requires hands-on development, enhancement of legacy automation, and close collaboration with business and quality stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain VBA-based automation solutions
  • Build and enhance Excel-based tools for data processing, validation, and reporting
  • Refactor and optimize existing VBA code for performance and maintainability
  • Develop automated workflows integrating Excel, Access, Outlook, and databases
  • Ensure automation solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards
  • Produce and maintain technical and validation documentation
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements

Required Skills & Experience

VBA Development:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with VBA
  • Strong expertise in Excel VBA (mandatory)
  • Experience with Access and/or Outlook VBA (preferred)

Microsoft Excel:

  • 6+ years of advanced Excel experience
  • Strong skills in formulas, macros, pivot tables, Power Query, and data models

Automation & Data Processing:

  • 5+ years of experience automating business processes
  • Handling large, complex datasets with validation and error handling

Software Development Practices:

  • 5+ years of experience following SDLC best practices
  • Code versioning, documentation, change control, and maintenance

Regulated Industry Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Medical Devices or other regulated industries
  • Hands-on exposure to validation, audit readiness, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with controlled documents and change management processes

Data & Integration Skills

  • 3+ years of experience working with databases or structured data sources
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL or data integration techniques

Preferred Skills

  • Medical Device domain experience:
  • Exposure to FDA regulations, ISO 13485, or 21 CFR Part 11

Additional Automation Technologies:

  • 1 3 years of experience with Python, Power Automate, RPA, or similar tools
  • Agile / Hybrid Delivery Models:
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
