Palmer Group is searching for a detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our client's team as a Portfolio Analyst. In this role, you will support strategic initiatives across enterprise architecture, data, and AI. You will play a key part in portfolio tracking, financial oversight, work intake, and reporting. You'll help drive continuous planning and enterprise transparency by working closely with business and technology leaders and stakeholders. What you will do:

  • Track and report on portfolio health, risks, capacity, and milestones
  • Summarize and share team accomplishments, KPIs, and OKRs across architecture, data, and AI
  • Maintain visibility into headcount, open roles, and organizational changes
  • Manage work requests, dependencies, and roadmap alignment
  • Facilitate intake processes, governance reviews, and business case development
  • Document and refine processes to support portfolio maturity
  • Develop and maintain dashboards in Power BI and Excel for budget, forecast, and delivery tracking
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance across Azure DevOps and portfolio tools
  • Automate reporting to enable real-time insights and visual storytelling
  • Support budget planning, business case refinement, and variance tracking
  • Advance capacity management and resource planning practices
  • Analyze portfolio trends and recommend actionable improvements
  • Standardize and promote Azure DevOps best practices across teams
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and other divisions to align with enterprise governance
  • Liaise between the Portfolio Director and delivery teams to drive progress and resolve blockers

What you will need to be successful:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio analysis or a related role within enterprise IT, architecture, data, or transformation
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, governance processes, and cross-functional coordination
  • Advanced proficiency in Azure DevOps, Power BI, and Excel, preferably as an admin
  • Solid financial acumen, including experience with budget planning, forecasting, and business case development
  • Ability to synthesize and visualize complex data to support strategic decisions
  • Familiarity with both agile and waterfall delivery models and experience supporting initiatives of varying sizes
  • Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in preparing executive-level briefings and strategic portfolio readouts
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to research
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
