Job Details

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of product documentation with guidance from Subject Matter Experts:
    1. Collaborate with SMEs to develop documentation for product features, fixes, and changes.
    2. Respond to internal and external requests for new or improved documentation.
    3. Review existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and relevance, and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Responsible for maintaining the functionality and presentation of the Content Cloud documentation portal:
    1. Collaborate with other members of the Documentation team to develop and maintain appropriate and consistent style and messaging standards across all documentation resources.
    2. Optimize search, navigation, and logical organization of documentation resources to maximize usability for both expert and non-expert users.
    3. Collaborate with DevOps when necessary to ensure that product documentation is available and accessible to customers and Systemware employees.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical communication or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical writing or a related field
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to produce documentation
  • Experience producing published instructional or educational material
  • Familiarity and competency with HTML, XML, and CSS
  • Strong team orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical and computer skills with ability to learn new and complex software
  • + Experience writing about/working with Enterprise Content Management Software is a plus
  • + Experience with MadCap Flare is a plus
  • + Experience with JavaScript is a plus
