We have built a Search & Discovery Platform that powers multiple Adobe product lines such as Adobe's Creative Cloud product, Experience Cloud, Document Cloud, and creative marketplace by enabling the world's best creative tools, leading cloud services for managing creative assets, and the leading marketplace such as Adobe Stock. Search platform deals with billions of assets stored in cloud for variety of use cases ranging from privately accessible assets as in Lightroom, Creative cloud and others, shared assets via collaboration in creative cloud and experience cloud and public discoverable assets as in Adobe Stock Marketplace, Adobe.com, Adobe Learn & Tutorials content.

Search & Discovery platform deals with multiple modalities and is not limited to keyword search and supports searches based on image similarity, video similarity and combination of text and images and other permutations. We use state of the art machine learnt computer vision approaches to power this and take a look at Adobe Stock image search as an example. Under Discovery Platform we are building a newer platform to provide state of art personalized suggestions in the whole creative process for our end users in multiple Adobe products by combining the richness of assets information and machine learning techniques.

You will

  • Lead the technical direction for search / recommendation query services, search indexing, data mining, Search algorithms, Visual Search & deep learning in the context of the next generation Search & Discovery platform for Adobe.

  • Help build a highly scalable, highly available, performant & reliable Search & Discovery platform to index billions of images, documents and other assets in real-time & power millions of Search queries from flagship Adobe product experiences including Adobe Express, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat & all Adobe asset management interfaces.
  • Influence in a technical capacity the roadmap for new features and solutions in the realm of Search & relevance to enhance user experience for Adobe users.

What you need to succeed

  • MS in Engineering
  • 4+ years of proven experience working with Java/Python/C++
  • Experience building solutions employing large scale distributed systems for high throughput , low latency applications
  • Experience in Web services and REST

  • Experience in AWS / Microsoft Azure or the like for server side deployments
  • Experience building backend API layers via SOAP, or Rest API
  • Machine Learning exposure preferred
  • Excellent communication skills across function and internationally distributed teams

Preferred experience or exposure to the following technologies:

  • Messaging Queues Kafka/SQS
  • No-SQL databases like HBase/Cassandra/Mongodb/CouchDB or others
  • Real-time Ingestion systems like Apache Storm/Apache Flink/Kafka Streams

  • Big Data Offline Processing systems like Apache Spark, Pig, Hadoop or others

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $118,500 -- $219,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
