The University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative IT Support Professional to provide comprehensive technical support for our St. Cloud campus, as well as support across our multi-campus environment. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our device management, supporting our multimedia spaces and Zoom technology, serving as a key liaison for AI and cognitive computing initiatives, and working closely with simulation and curriculum teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to supporting the technological needs of our faculty, staff, and students.
This position is based on campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate and approved by your manager. All UMN employees are expected to follow applicable public health and safety procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities 100%:
- Provide expert-level support for core device management platforms, including Jamf for macOS and iOS devices and Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) / Intune for Windows and other platforms. This includes device enrollment, configuration, patching, software deployment, and troubleshooting. Endpoint Engineering
- Maintain and support multimedia spaces across all campuses, with a strong emphasis on classroom recording equipment and Zoom video conferencing technology. This includes troubleshooting technical issues, providing user training, editing of video files, and ensuring optimal functionality. Audiovisual Engineering/User Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison for Artificial Intelligence (AI) products and cognitive computing technology initiatives. This includes collaborating with relevant teams, providing technical expertise, and assisting with the integration and support of these technologies. IT Other
- Work collaboratively and effectively with IT teams and stakeholders across three campus locations, and CentraCare technologists to ensure consistent and high-quality IT support. User Support
- Partner closely with our simulation technology teams and CentraCare technologists to provide technical support for specialized hardware and software. User Support
- Coordinate with curriculum teams to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that enhance teaching and learning. Academic Technology
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner. User Support

- Assist with the deployment and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field plus at least two years of experience or master's degree.
- Strong working knowledge of Jamf for macOS and iOS device management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or Intune for Windows and other device management.
- Working knowledge of multimedia systems, including classroom recording equipment, audio-visual technologies, and video conferencing platforms, with an emphasis on Zoom.
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-campus environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AI products or cognitive computing technologies.
- Familiarity with simulation technologies used in educational or research settings.
- Experience working in an educational or academic environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Jamf Certified Tech, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate).
