Summary:
Description

  • Perform Hardware validation on consumer electronics VR Headsets
  • Generate power characterization test plans, data reporting and documentation, prototype bring-up and debugging
  • Perform system level PMIC validations (power ON/OFF sequence, load and line regulations/transients, charge/discharge profiles etc).
  • Engage with CM (Contract Manufacturing) on reviewing validation plans, analyzing test data and solving hardware issues.
  • Write automation scripts in Python if needed to reduce validation cycle time.

Required Qualification:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent studies. Masters preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in consumer electronics power validations and hardware debugging
  • Familiar with power lab equipment (Oscilloscope, power supply, eload, function generation, thermal chamber and DAQ system)
  • Experience with DC/DC regulators, battery power management, charge/discharge profiles and lithium-ion batteries.
  • Understanding of power trees, PDN analysis is needed.
  • 2+ years of experience in automation using Python
  • Familiar with ADB (having Shell script experience is a plus)
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.

Must have 3+ years of experience on following:

  • Software- writing automation scripts in python
  • Working in power electronics
  • Working in a lab (power supplies, function generators, etc)
  • Battery emulators


Good to have- NI DAQ (National Instrument DAQ)

  • Power measurements power consumption in different use cases , write automation scripts, running the automation scripts using the NI DAQ

Must be able to display the below for the interview

  • Python automation scripting
  • Validation experience on buck, boost, LDO and battery charger IC

Python is a major area to know
Also, ADB ( how you communicate with a device)

Typical Day in the Role:
