Job Summary

The Project Manager in an individual contributor role is responsible for planning, executing, and closing technology projects within defined timelines and budgets. This position focuses on managing project tasks, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards.

This project is focused on Federal data. All applicants must have the ability obtain a secret clearance or be a due to the sensitive nature of the project.

This role is also On-site

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Develop detailed project plans that outline tasks, timelines, and resources required to successfully complete technology initiatives.
Job Duty 2 -
Coordinate project activities by assigning tasks to team members, monitoring progress, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
Job Duty 3 -
Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns or changes in scope.
Job Duty 4 -
Track project budgets and expenditures to ensure that financial resources are utilized effectively and to identify any potential overruns.
Job Duty 5 -
Prepare documentation related to project specifications, changes, and deliverables to maintain a clear record of project progress and decisions.
Job Duty 6 -
Troubleshoot project-related issues by analyzing problems and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
Job Duty 7 -
Conduct project meetings to facilitate collaboration and ensure that team members are aligned on objectives and responsibilities.
Job Duty 8 -
Evaluate project outcomes and gather feedback to assess the effectiveness of completed initiatives and inform future projects.
Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience; advanced certification may be preferred or required (some profiles may require additional education).
Required Experience
Six or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer a data-savvy professional with a strong foundation in data project management and analysis to join our team as a Data (IT) Project Manager. This role goes beyond traditional project oversight, it requires a candidate who can transform raw data into actionable insights, manage cross-functional data initiatives, and drive data-informed solutions that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven experience leading data projects from concept through execution, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope.
- Expertise in SQL for querying, data extraction, and transformation across large data sets.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms, including Tableau and/or Power BI, to analyze data and create clear, impactful dashboards and reports.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical data findings into business-ready narratives for stakeholders at all levels.
- A keen eye for data accuracy and quality control.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, draw conclusions, and make data-backed recommendations.
- A working knowledge of institutional research or higher education data environments is a plus.
