Position: Senior Automation Engineer AI-Network Automation
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid: Onsite 3 days/week
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant with deep expertise in AI, network automation, and orchestration technologies to join our fast-paced innovation team. This consultant will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing automation solutions for network functions and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on transport layer automation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating intelligent, AI-driven workflows and agents that replace manual operations, accelerating service delivery and improving network efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and related frameworks.
Lead the development of network automation use-cases involving Network Functions, Transport Infrastructure, and Wireless Networks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate provisioning, activation, and assurance workflows.
Build and deploy intelligent automation agents using AI/ML models and integrate them with existing network management systems.
Leverage the WatsonX AI platform to create, train, and manage models tailored to network automation use-cases.
Ensure deliverables are aligned with aggressive project timelines and milestones.
Required Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in Python, Ansible, and related automation tools.
Experience with AI/ML model deployment, preferably using WatsonX or comparable platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI).
Strong understanding of telecom network functions, transport systems, and wireless infrastructure.
Prior experience automating network provisioning, activation, and assurance workflows.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in high-pressure, milestone-driven environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-native network functions (CNFs) and network orchestration platforms (e.g., ONAP, Netconf/YANG, SDN controllers).
Familiarity with network data analytics and applying AI to operational insights (e.g., fault prediction, anomaly detection).
