Job Title: Java Software Development Analyst II
Location: Addison, TX (4 days a week on-site)
Duration: Contract to Hire 
 

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Java Software Development Analyst I to join our agile development team. This role is responsible for the design, development, performance, and support of enterprise Java/J2EE applications that drive process automation, integration, and user-facing solutions across employer and payer platforms.

The ideal candidate will participate in full-stack development, support production environments, and help ensure the stability, scalability, and effectiveness of critical applications, all while following established coding standards and Agile best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java web applications using Spring MVC, Struts, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

  • Translate business and functional requirements into robust web pages, RESTful APIs, and backend processes.

  • Build front-end interfaces using HTML, JSP, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery.

  • Develop and maintain database components—tables, stored procedures, and triggers—on Oracle platforms, utilizing JPA for data access.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups) and contribute to project delivery.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to troubleshoot production issues, implement fixes, and plan releases.

  • Work with cross-functional teams (Middleware, Database Admins, QA) to deploy builds and resolve technical challenges.

  • Recommend improvements in performance, architecture, and code efficiency.


Qualifications

<>Experience:</>
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE web application development.

  • Strong background in full-stack development within enterprise environments.

  • Proven experience integrating complex systems, especially in Oracle-based ecosystems.

  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax, JSON, and responsive UI design.

  • Familiarity with frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Velocity is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of XML, XSLT, and XML Schema.

  • Experience with high-volume, performance-critical applications.

  • Healthcare industry experience and AngularJS knowledge are highly preferred.
