Payrate: $60.00 - $61.00/hr.
Summary:
The main function of a project engineer is to estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment or labor to determine project feasibility. A typical project engineer has knowledge of engineering technology, building and construction and public safety and security. They must have solid decision-making skills and be critical thinkers.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $60.00 - $61.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts with qualified medical plan enrollment, 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, accommodations and reimbursement for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus. Sick leave and mobile phone reimbursement provided based on state or local law.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise the construction of roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges and water supply and sewage systems.
- Review the cost effectiveness, timing, reliability and safety of certain design models to determine project feasibility and approve final design implementation plan.
- Analyze and evaluate impact of project to government regulations and potential environmental hazards.
- Manage and direct staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
Skills:
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
- Advanced ability to prepare or present public reports, maps or drawings to plan projects.
- Previous experience with computer applications related to engineering field.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 8-10 years experience required.
