Usability Engineer
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in design, including interaction design and visual communications.
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry or working within a regulatory environment is a plus.
Responsibilities: -
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Clinical Stakeholders, and Software Engineers to gather and translate user requirements into design objectives.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiries, and workflow analyses to align user goals with product vision.
- Facilitate UX research sessions using semi-structured interviews, user shadowing, and ethnographic techniques.
- Apply UFMEA to identify and mitigate usability risks in healthcare workflows.
- Document research findings and create journey maps to inform design.
- Lead iterative usability testing, including formative and summative evaluations, with clinicians and nursing staff.
- Develop testing protocols, user screeners, personas, and test scripts.
- Perform heuristic evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs to identify UX issues.
- Synthesize test results into usability reports with severity ratings and recommendations.
- Facilitate design workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders.
- Conduct interface audits and design reviews to ensure UI consistency and accessibility.
- Support agile development cycles and provide UX consultation throughout the SDLC.
- Conduct rapid iterative testing to assess usability and improve UI responsiveness.
- Monitor post-launch feedback and analytics to refine designs.
- Redesign legacy components to meet contemporary usability standards.
