Manager, Endpoint and Device Management (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
We are seeking a seasoned and forward-looking leader to oversee our enterprise endpoint and device management function. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of Windows-based devices including hardware evaluation and certification, BIOS and driver management, peripheral integration (such as docking solutions and emerging XR/VR devices), and OS support for Windows 10 and 11. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Intune and SCCM, deep hardware knowledge, and the vision to guide the organization toward modern, AI-enabled endpoint capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing endpoint engineering team, overseeing hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Act as the final escalation point for complex endpoint, hardware, and platform issues, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
- Oversee implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and installation activities across the enterprise.
- Define, maintain, and refine departmental policies, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage the complete hardware lifecycle, including platform certification, device standards, firmware/BIOS updates, and peripheral compatibility (including docks and XR/VR technologies).
- Drive modernization initiatives using Microsoft Intune, SCCM, automation tools, and AI-driven device analytics.
- Lead the adoption of advanced endpoint capabilities such as Windows Hello for Business and next-generation PCs with integrated AI hardware.
- Manage vendor performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure hardware quality and roadmap alignment.
- Partner with business leaders and technical stakeholders to understand organizational needs and present well-reasoned recommendations to architecture review boards and technical councils.
- Contribute to enterprise initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing technical engineering or endpoint teams, preferably within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong, hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Windows 10/11, endpoint provisioning, and modern device management techniques.
- Deep understanding of enterprise hardware ecosystems including docks, peripherals, firmware management, device compatibility, and hardware diagnostics.
- Experience with device certification processes, vendor management, and evaluation of new hardware (including AI-driven PCs and XR/VR equipment).
- Proficiency in automation and scripting, particularly PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance standards, and identity solutions such as Windows Hello for Business.
- Familiarity with endpoint analytics, telemetry, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and confidently present technical recommendations to review boards/councils.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
