Job Details

Overview: Our client, a multinational telecommunications technology company is seeking Principal Cloud Virtualization Engineers that will directly contribute to building and managing scalable, robust, and efficient virtualized environments. This role involves architecting, deploying, and optimizing private cloud infrastructures utilizing VMware and Wind River technologies. The position emphasizes virtualization technologies as the backbone of the client's 5G network, leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, Jenkins, and more to ensure reliability and automation across the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, fault-tolerant virtual environments using VMware, OpenStack, and Wind River.
- Implement zero-touch provisioning and automated recovery with Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- Ensure seamless integration with Kubernetes and cloud-native services while mentoring junior engineers.
- Monitor performance, optimize resources, and implement automated incident responses.
- Establish backup, recovery, and failover mechanisms to ensure data integrity and uptime.
- Define best practices, maintain virtualization frameworks, and produce detailed documentation.
Required Skills/Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree; ten years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 or more years of professional experience in virtualization technologies, including VMware services and tools, OpenStack, and Bare-Metal Kubernetes
- 10 or more years of programming experience in one or more of the following: Java, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, or advanced Shell scripting
Skills And Qualifications
- Demonstrable expertise in bare-metal and virtualized deployments of VMware, Wind River, OpenStack, and/or OpenShift infrastructures
- Hands-on experience in managing virtual environments across multiple remote locations and data centers
- Advanced knowledge of cluster management, resource allocation, and virtual networking within highly dynamic infrastructures
