POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Design Engineer I at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for supporting engineering design efforts through calculations, plan preparation, and technical documentation. You'll work closely with senior engineers to deliver high-quality Land Development projects while developing your technical and professional skillset in a collaborative environment.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Performing design calculations, plan preparation, and quantity take-offs.
  Assisting with technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
  Supporting senior engineers with project design components and drafting efforts.
  Reviewing and correlating data while identifying discrepancies in results.
  Coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Up to 1 year of Land Development experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

• Familiarity with Civil 3D or related design software
• Internship or prior experience supporting Land Development projects
• Interest in pursuing EIT certification or PE licensure
