Welcome! As a Photolithography Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding technical challenges in overlay , critical d imension uniformity , patterning, and automation for current parts, and provide solution s to groundbreaking new technologies . You will work with a wide range of Micron internal groups and vendors to deliver next-generation semiconductors, and ultimately transfer novel technology to worldwide manufacturing network.

Below are detailed job responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • Understand the technology challenges regarding overlay , critical dimension uniformity and patterning, then establish automation/data science projects to address them for current and next nodes.
  • Support on goings assigned projects. Work with process development engineers on issues and projects related to automation.
  • Work with internal and external applications teams to find opportunities for automation system improvement.
  • Be able to drive technical innovation in automation area of expertise as a recognized Micron professional in your field.
  • Long term scope including define and lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects that are essential to Micron's automation roadmap.
  • Work with internal and external teams to define hardware/software requirement that are needed for overlay, critical dimensions, and patterning.
  • Document and standardize methods and procedures across technology types and global sites.
  • Provide advice and counsel to senior management on significant technical issues and strategy related to automation.


Qualifications for this position include :

  • 2 years of photolithography/metrology or related areas experience in R&D or manufacturing within the semiconductor industry . Including experience in overlay, critical dimensions, and photo patterning.
  • Understanding or familiarity of photo automation system , and fab operation knowledge.
  • Strong skills for learning and development. Ability to create production-worthy technologies.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relations with multi-functional teams and vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills .
  • Proficient in statistics, data analysis, data modeling , Design of Experiments (DOE) is preferred.


Education

M.S./Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics or some type of relevant area of study to Lithography with 2 years of experience; or BS in Engineering, Physics or some type of relevant area of study to Lithography, plus 5 years of experience .
