Required Skills: Must have excellent analytical skills and at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, working closely with business partners to elicit requirements, document process flows, identify risks and mitigation and participate in definition of strategies for the technical solution. Experience documenting detailed functional and technical requirements for business requirements. Ability to communicate and work with developers to ensure that acceptance criteria for the user stories are understood and applied. Provides support to UAT and SIT testers to clarify requirements and determine whether a defect is a new requirement, or truly a defect. Ability to communicate and work with Testers to ensure that test plans and scripts satisfy the requirements. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to facilitate discussions. Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision. Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to analyze existing capabilities and identify gaps and opportunities. Working knowledge of agile tools such as JIRA. Experience with Agile methodologies, feature writing, story grooming and sprint planning. Position Summary: This position is for a Business Analyst who will act as the primary interface with business partners, solution architects, and cross-organizational technology teams. The Analyst will analyze current processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology. The Analyst is responsible for working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. The Analyst will be part of an Agile Scrum team, collaborating with the Product Owner to evaluate the Features, write effective user stories, document business rules; and with the Developers to review technical design, identify enablers and dependencies.

Target JIRA background and someone open with Waterfall/Agile background. This is a long term project so they must be able to collaborate and communicate with the team. Updated Screening Questions: The amount of experience as BA is important. What are some projects that had technical backend processes and what software, systems did they use. SQL experience is a must and not just when a Dev gives them a query to run, they need to know how to write a query. Agile experience - how long is their sprints, how do they do PI Planning, what system do they use for their stories, etc...- this will help us judge if they really do agile. What happens if there is a technical disagreement during story creation? How will you approach? If you have worked with a third party and dealt with issues, how would you handle it? What are some common issues that come up? Focus a lot on a technical BA, not just a BA. If they have only done UI work and never worked on back end process, security, permissions, db mapping then they are not useful to us.
