The Data Analyst provides advanced data analytics and cybersecurity support for mission assurance programs, with specialized expertise in Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments.

The Data Analyst provides advanced data analytics and cybersecurity support for mission assurance programs, with specialized expertise in Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments.
Responsibilities
- Apply data-driven methods to enhance cyber terrain mapping, risk assessment, and compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks.
- Conduct cyber terrain mapping and identify critical and supporting assets to maintain the Mission Assurance Decision Support System, improving mission risk visibility.
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents using SIEM tools, reducing incident response time; provide input for OT-specific threat detection and mitigation strategies.
- Perform mission analysis and situational awareness activities, including mission decomposition, cyberspace mapping, and iterative risk assessments for both IT and OT environments.
- Develop and implement knowledge management strategies, enabling cross-functional teams to access actionable business intelligence and reducing data retrieval time.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including leadership and interagency stakeholders, improving stakeholder engagement and understanding.
- Support development of cybersecurity policies, OT security guidelines, training programs, and strategic roadmaps, contributing to organizational resilience and workforce readiness.
- Participate in Agile product lifecycle activities: backlog refinement, release planning, sprint execution, and reviews, ensuring timely delivery of mission-critical software solutions. Support system of record development teams with enhanced capability needs, testing, and real-time functional performance feedback.
- Utilizing Mission Decomposition and Mission Thread Analysis to prepare dependency mappings.
- Conduct on-site assessments to identify, document, and validate terrain, dependencies, and mappings of on-premises and off-premises critical and supporting assets and systems.
- Report development for asset knowledge base and risk mitigation plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or business-related programs
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis
- 3+ years of experience in Python, Power BI, and SQL required
- Agile Scrum Certifications desired
- Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are desired
- Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, etc., and migrating customers/projects to the cloud.
- Experience working in ICS/SCADA security, OT network segmentation.
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Experience working in MADSS, EMAAP, eMASS, ETMS2.
- Experience working in cloud infrastructures.
- Must have high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and possess advanced skills and knowledge in programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must have an understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle) and hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and/or BI tools like Power BI or Business Objects (BO), and data analysis tools.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience extracting, transforming, and structuring data to support both exploratory analytics and operational reporting.
- Strong creative and visual storytelling skills with an eye for design, usability, and user experience.
- Use expert knowledge of data visualization tools to deliver information that allows client users to quickly understand data, ask better questions, and take action.
- Possess knowledge and experience with data analysis and data technical expertise in data management, engineering, and science.
- Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
