About The Role & Team:

"We make magic!" That's our motto at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and it permeates everything we do. Our Catering team provides clients with a memorable catering experience. The Senior Catering Operations Director leads the catering operations team that executes on all convention/group activity across all Catering regions (resorts, theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs), providing excellent customer and client satisfaction.

If selected for this role, you will report to the Director, Catering Food & Beverage.

This is a Full-Time position.

What You Will Do:
  • Execute strategic and tactical initiatives supporting the annual business plan
  • Partner with Finance to ensure use of appropriate revenue and profitability metrics for business evaluation
  • Help develop the annual Capital Planning budget
  • Manage guest/client standards and measurements to ensure consistency and world-class service
  • Interact regularly with external clients and internal partners to create, manage, and enhance key relationships in Group and Convention business
  • Participate actively in Walt Disney World Catering Line of Business Leadership Team meetings
  • Oversee a team of salaried and hourly Office & Technical Cast Members


Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • At least 5 years Catering/Conventions or other event/Food & Beverage relevant experience
  • Understanding of emerging and current technologies that support all business lines
  • Experience managing process improvement projects
  • Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of quality measurements and project management
  • Strategic and big picture thinking abilities
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business partners
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 operation


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven career experience within Group & Convention business/industry
  • Proven knowledge of Walt Disney World and the Walt Disney Company organizational structure
  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Experience managing process improvement projects


Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
