This is a long-term contract position and will be a hybrid position in Austin, TX. Candidates MUST be local.

Position Overview:

We re seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects focused on renewable energy program development and implementation. This role involves full lifecycle project management from requirements gathering and planning to execution, delivery, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will have strong technical project management experience and a background in supporting sustainability or energy-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of moderate to complex projects focused on renewable or clean energy programs.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Conduct business analysis and develop technical and functional specifications.
  • Manage vendor procurement processes including RFP development, bid evaluation, and contract management.
  • Monitor progress and provide clear, consistent project status reporting to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Apply change management methodologies to support adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and remote teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 7 years of experience implementing technical projects and leading diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • 4 7 years of experience with project procurement, RFP development, and bid evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including work breakdown structures (WBS), scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Teams.
  • Experience applying change management principles to project delivery.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and present to multiple levels of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects related to solar or renewable energy systems.
  • 3+ years of experience managing remote or distributed teams.
  • Experience in environments that interface with public-sector organizations or regulated industries.
