Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Tallahassee, Florida. This role involves working in a dynamic environment to analyze, design, and manage data within a Snowflake cloud-based data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, data mining, and database architecture, and will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and usability of enterprise data systems.
Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements to develop system specifications and ensure alignment with organizational data needs.
Design and manage data architecture within the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
Utilize tools such as Informatica PowerCenter and Intelligent Data Quality for data integration, cleansing, and management.
Develop and maintain enterprise data models to support organizational reporting and analytics.
Perform data mining and analysis using platforms like Power BI and Tableau to derive actionable insights.
Validate and ensure the accuracy of data loaded into the data warehouse.
Collaborate with users to define reporting requirements and provide technical consulting on data usage.
Prototype and test data solutions, including replication, extraction, loading, and transformation processes.
Monitor and maintain knowledge of relevant software tools, scripts, and languages to optimize data management.
Create and execute validation plans to ensure data quality and reliability.
Requirements
Proven experience in designing and managing cloud-based data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
Proficiency in data integration and management tools such as Informatica PowerCenter and Enterprise Data Catalog.
Strong skills in data modeling, mining, and analysis using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Knowledge of database development and architecture principles.
Familiarity with data validation processes and techniques to ensure accuracy.
Ability to develop and test prototypes and scripts for data solutions.
Solid understanding of reporting requirements and the ability to translate them into actionable data models.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with users and stakeholders.
