RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Field Service Engineer in San Ramon, CA.
Summary:
The Field Systems Engineer will work with our clients to troubleshoot general hardware and software issues. This will include working with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, as well as smartphones and other mobile devices. You will provide remote support over the phone during non-scheduled site visits. The technician will also be responsible for providing the same level of support, both remotely and on-site, on a weekly basis.
Duties:
* Field Service Engineer will answer inbound calls and set tickets for client issues
* Assist during projects from time to time
* Travel is required
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of related experience
* Must have experience troubleshooting both Windows and MAC; 50/50 proficiency; Hardware and software
* Expert experience with Microsoft Office Products
* Expert experience with Mid-Level Desktop O.S troubleshooting experience (Windows, Mac OS, and Linux)
* Expert experience with PC Hardware Troubleshooting
* Expert experience with Imaging (any software as long as you understand the concept)
* Expert experience working with Ticketing Systems
* Expert experience working with Alert Monitoring
* Expert experience with Office 365 basic admin and support
* Expert experience with Windows AD and Azure (Basic admin knowledge)
* Experience with white glove executive level support
* Familiarity with MDMs, MFA, SSO, and similar technologies
* Familiarity with Windows/Apple zero-touch deployment
* Familiarity navigating any ticketing system
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrates integrity, takes pride in their work, and thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere
* Demonstrates discretion, sensitivity, and independent judgment
* Proven ability to execute independent projects and think creatively
* Available to respond after-hours via mobile device
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
