Job Details

As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, we are seeking a versatile professional who combines software development knowledge with operations expertise to improve software delivery and infrastructure management, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within an organization.

Your focus will be on automating and optimizing the software development lifecycle, from coding to deployment and monitoring, to ensure faster, more reliable software releases.

This is a permanent, fully remote position with the leading provider of technologies and services for the scientific research community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline the software delivery process.
  • Automation and Scripting: Using scripting languages (like Python or Bash) and automation tools (like or ) to automate tasks such as building, testing, and deploying software.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Using tools like or to manage and provision infrastructure programmatically.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implementing and maintaining systems for monitoring and logging the performance of applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with Software Engineering, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Security: Implementing security measures throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure the security of applications and infrastructure.

Skills required to be successful are:

  • a minimum of five years of professional experience in a DevOps role
  • Strong understanding of Linux, AWS, scripting, and automation tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues that arise during the software development lifecycle.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
