SAP Functional Architect (PLM and Quality Management)

Overview: Seeking a dynamic SAP Functional Architect to lead the development and optimization of business systems in the PLM / QM space. This role requires direct engagement with management across IT and business units, guiding strategic initiatives and mentoring IT personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stay abreast of system platform updates and industry advancements.
• Address business system issues across development, QA, and production stages.
• Set objectives for and develop IT team members.
• Act as the primary IT liaison for business systems strategies.
• Prevent redundancy in reporting by ensuring report uniqueness.
• Develop and enforce application system security per company and regulatory standards.
• Educate and guide business users and management on system and process integration.
• Implement continuous business process improvements.
• Execute SAP system configuration and lead Business Analysts.
• Manage functional and technical aspects of SAP ECC, PLM, QM, etc.
• Oversee system configuration to meet end-user needs while maintaining security and integrity.
• Document processes for business continuity.
• Liaise with stakeholders to define requirements, build cases, and track performance metrics.
• Analyze business processes for enhancement opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with full life-cycle SAP implementations (PLM/ECTR/IPS/Workflow).
• Practical knowledge of R&D and New Product Development in manufacturing.
• Proficient in leading within a matrixed management structure.
• Expertise in business case development and change management, including ROI analysis.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise systems related to R&D, NPDI, PLM, IPS, ECTR, Quality Management, Workflows, and Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and adept at Change Management and business process redesign.
