We are seeking a Machine Learning Associate to join our team onsite in New York City. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and technical teams to document EHR workflows and data structures.
- Develop deep expertise in EHR system behavior, data capture, and healthcare operations.
- Author data dictionaries, workflow diagrams, and technical documentation to support knowledge transfer and ML model development.
- Serve as the liaison between business users and developers when new data elements or system features are introduced.
- Support application updates by training end users, gathering feedback, and creating reference materials.
- Use Python and SQL to analyze large datasets (Oracle-based) and prepare training data for ML.
- Build and deploy AI/ML models to support decision-making and operational improvement.
- Translate complex data findings into actionable insights and clear visualizations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Python & SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Foundational experience with machine learning concepts and application of predictive models.
- Strong analytical thinking with an ability to translate technical insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in healthcare, medical technology, or public health systems.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and curious with strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited university (verify at ope.ed.gov/dapip).
