Job Posting: Quality Assurance Tester - Advanced

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester - Advanced to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on transforming Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in complex, change-driven environments and are passionate about improving healthcare outcomes through technology and innovation.
About the Program

This MMIS modernization effort is a major transformation involving cultural, process, and technological shifts. The initiative supports a transition from a fee-for-service model to a managed care approach, emphasizing improved health outcomes. The strategy aligns with national trends in MMIS innovation and promotes a forward-thinking mindset in healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop test plans, user acceptance testing (UAT) processes, and test cases for product and software development teams.
  • Maintain traceability from test cases to requirements and software components throughout the SDLC.
  • Conduct user interface and regression testing.
  • Test software applications for reliability, stability, and usability, including negative testing.
  • Design and execute automated testing scripts.
  • Participate in defect triage, retesting, and resolution.
  • Create and maintain quality assurance documentation and reports.
  • Adhere to and recommend improvements for established testing governance policies and best practices.
  • Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections in accordance with governance standards.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
  • 5+ years building test cases and scenarios in test systems.
  • 3+ years of deep knowledge in healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid) and business processes.
  • 3+ years of experience communicating and publishing status reports on open issues and gaps during the testing phase.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with formal test design tools.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field.
  • Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.
