Estimation Engineer - Houston, TX
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. You will be instrumental in developing accurate cost estimates for complex industrial water treatment projects. Your expertise in costing, industrial equipment sizing, and wastewater piping will be key to our continued success.

responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Generate and maintain precise costing data for proposals.
- Collaborate with Application Engineers to secure and evaluate vendor/contractor quotes, ensuring technical and commercial compliance.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive proposal and quote database.
- Prepare detailed cost analyses, including material and labor estimates for installation activities (civil, mechanical, piping, tanks, buildings, MEP, E&I, BOP).
- Develop and issue EPC RFQs and meticulously verify supplier quotations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and contractors, managing bids effectively.
- Utilize estimating software (e.g., RS Means, Sage/Timberline) to prepare and present cost estimates to project management.
- Track and record actual project costs.

qualifications:
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer, preferably within heavy industrial construction.
- Proven expertise in estimating civil works, mechanical installations, building works, MEP, and E&I installations.
- Strong understanding of regional labor costs across various trades.
- Hands-on proficiency with RS Means and Sage (formerly Timberline) estimating software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
