Position: Security Engineer III
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Duration: Through End of Year

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security infrastructure across enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in network and system security, threat detection, automation, scripting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will lead critical security projects and provide expert-level guidance on best practices and emerging trends.

Must-Have:

  • Network Security, Security Controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, authentication)

  • TCP/IP, routers, switches, antivirus, content filtering

  • Tools: Check Point, Palo Alto, Juniper, RSA, Splunk, McAfee, CyberArk, F5, Trend Micro

  • Scripting: Python, Java, JavaScript

  • Automation tools: Jenkins, Chef, Puppet

  • Security Certifications: CISSP, GSEC, Security+, etc.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft & Linux OS, DevOps, Agile, Active Directory

  • Cyber Threat Management, SNORT, REGEX, YARA

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enterprise security systems and infrastructure

  • Analyze and mitigate system vulnerabilities and potential threats

  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures

  • Research emerging threats and proactively enhance protection strategies

  • Guide teams on security best practices and mentor junior engineers

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulatory standards
