URGENT Requirement Network Engineer / Senior Cloud Security Engineer | Columbia, SC | On-site | USC/EAD Only
Hello,
We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer for a project with the State of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. This is an on-site opportunity with a hybrid schedule (3 days remote, 2 days in-office). Please find the details below:
Role: Network Engineer / Senior Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid 3 days remote / 2 days on-site)
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
Max Pay Rate: $85.00/hour W2
Interview: One virtual round
Candidate Location: Must be local to South Carolina. Candidates from GA or NC can apply if willing to relocate at their own expense.
The hiring manager has updated the skill requirements due to lack of expertise in the following areas in previous submissions:
- 5+ years of experience with firewalls in AWS and Azure Required
- 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls Required
Role Description
The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will work closely with Product Owners, Application Owners, and Network and Security teams to design and implement secure, large-scale application and infrastructure cloud solutions.
Candidates must possess:
- Proficiency in both public and hybrid cloud models
- Exceptional consulting skills
- Ability to translate customer requirements into secure solutions
- Hands-on experience in implementing cloud security controls
Note: This is not a developer role. The position is hands-on in the delivery and execution of security solutions.
