Position Description:
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (ME, EE) plus 10 years of experience
- Masters's in Engineering (ME, EE) plus 8 years of experience
Required Skills for the Electrical Engineer:
- Initiative
- Collaboration
- Intellectual Curiosity (appetite to learn)
- Experience with systems over 300V DC
- Strong grasp of electrical theory
- Microsoft products
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of electrical standards, IEC, ISO, NFPA, IEEE
- Fuse coordination, cable sizing, arc flash, short circuit
- etap, pspice, matlab, visio, Creo schematics
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing HV systems for proper protections and arc flash mitigation, using tools like ETAP, Pspice
- Creating electric powertrain system and sub-system diagrams
- Ensuring proper overload protection device selection and coordination
- Defining, integrating, and validating high voltage components in machine powertrain applications
- Driving requirements definition in support of electrical safety standards (IEEE, NFPA, IEC, ISO, UN)
