Senior Workplace Technology Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Workplace Technology Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge technology solutions that enhance our client's workplace productivity and efficiency. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to drive innovation and empower employees through collaboration tools, productivity software, and end-user devices. The ideal candidate has a strong background in systems engineering for endpoint devices and a passion for creating impactful, automated solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of new workplace technology solutions and define the processes for their delivery.
- Leverage expertise in IT disciplines such as Information Security, Platform, and Networking to solve complex technical challenges.
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor for junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices and project execution.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and vendors to improve the workplace technology landscape.
- Develop and champion change management efforts for new technology initiatives.
- Support the operations of existing third-party tools, including those within the M365 suite, and be prepared to automate them using PowerShell.
- Work closely with engineers and stakeholders across different teams (e.g., software, network, security) to deliver high-quality solutions.
Skills
- Scripting and Automation: Expertise in developing end-to-end automation with PowerShell, Python, .Net, or similar languages.
- Microsoft 365 Ecosystem: Strong knowledge of M365 and its role in an enterprise environment.
- Operating Systems: In-depth understanding of operating systems, specifically for endpoint devices.
- On-prem VDI: Experience with on-premise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
- IT Infrastructure: Strong knowledge of server, network, storage, and security technologies.
- Third-Party Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as Ivanti, Jira, Intune, and JSM-ITSM.

- 5+ years of related work experience in a systems engineering or endpoint management role.
- Proven ability to design and implement workplace technology strategies for client devices.
- Strong ability to architect and develop scripted automation solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a desire to embrace and implement emerging technologies.
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Preferred
- Experience with platform interconnectivity and managing multiple applications and functions.
- Prior experience providing technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Familiarity with IT implementation and integration processes.
