Sourcing Data Intern
Location: Plano, TX

About this opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate and driven Sourcing Data Intern to join our Data & Automation team within Global Sourcing. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, automation, and AI, contributing to the end-to-end supply chain responsibility from source to pay across the 180 countries Ericsson operates in. You will support our core foci: building a robust Data Foundation in Snowflake using Python, developing Automation solutions with N8N and Python, and contributing to our AI practice by maintaining and enhancing chatbots focused on assisting the Sourcing Community.

What you will do:
Assist in the analysis of data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to our Global Sourcing organization.
Support the development and maintenance of data visualizations using tools like Tableau.
Learn and contribute to building and optimizing our Data Foundation in Snowflake using Python.
Explore and assist in developing automation solutions for sourcing processes using N8N and Python.
Contribute to our AI practice by supporting the maintenance and improvement of chatbots designed to assist the sourcing community.
Gain practical experience with Python and SQL for data manipulation, scripting, and reporting.
Support the testing and improvement of data preparation and analytics environments.
Participate in proof-of-concept projects involving data analytics, machine learning, and automation techniques.

The skills you bring:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Foundational understanding of SQL and Python, demonstrated through coursework or personal projects.
Eagerness to learn and apply concepts in data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
Academic projects or coursework demonstrating an interest in data, programming, or machine learning.

You might also have:
Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) or automation tools (e.g., N8N).
Basic understanding of machine learning concepts or frameworks (e.g., Scikit-Learn).
Sourcing or procurement experience (academic or professional).
Ability to think analytically and strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally.
Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
Able to work independently and as part of a team within a defined framework of responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of information.
