Java Production Support Engineer

Job Role: Java Production Support Engineer (Core Java | Mule Soft | Splunk)

Location: Plano, TX

Job Description:

Experience: 10+ years
Primary Skills: Core Java, Mule ESB, Splunk
Secondary Skills: Unix/Linux, Autosys, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, SQL

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide production support for Java-based and Mule Soft (4.x+) applications with high-volume transactions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot using Splunk, Dynatrace, and other observability tools to identify and resolve production issues quickly.
• Perform log analysis, JVM management, traffic routing, and server maintenance (recycle, warm-up, isolation, etc.).
• Execute change management and release activities, ensuring zero-error deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during triage calls and document incidents, root causes, and preventive actions.
• Use Unix/Linux commands and shell scripts for server access, log retrieval, and automation.
• Work with incident management tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA) to track and close tickets.
• Support Autosys job scheduling, API testing (Postman/SoapUI), and database operations (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
• Develop and enhance monitoring dashboards and alerts in Splunk/Dynatrace to improve system visibility and stability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend support, ensuring high availability of production systems.
