Summary

The Enterprise Data Quality team at KeyBank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Senior Analyst to lead the daily operations of the Data Quality Observation (DQO) process, a foundational component of our Enterprise Data Quality Program. This role is essential to ensuring data integrity and trust across regulatory, analytics, AI, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate is a passionate data advocate with a strong understanding of KeyBank processes, data quality principles, tools, and best practices. Leveraging technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills, the analyst will drive data quality remediation efforts by monitoring new entries, triaging issues, collaborating with data owners and custodians, and developing strategic partnerships with functional leaders to remove roadblocks and accelerate resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor newly entered items in the Data Quality Observation (DQO) Log, reviewing for completeness and alignment with process scope.
  • Assign issues to the appropriate data owner, data custodian, or Responsible Party for prioritization and resolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure progress on assigned items, providing support when needed and escalating issues that are blocked or unresponsive.
  • Build strong relationships with data owners to understand data issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Ensure all issues reach a consensus state where resolution work can begin.
  • Report concerns and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate committees.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance the defect management process.

  • Business acumen, with an understanding of how data quality impacts business units and supports strategic objectives
  • Process and organizational awareness, including knowledge of data management principles, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in data quality and analysis tools, including Microsoft Office/365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), and cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, prioritize effectively, and identify opportunities for process improvement

Qualifications
  • 5 + years of experience, preferably in Banking or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience in data quality, ideally establishing, operationalizing, and continuously improving aspects of a data quality progra

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience required

Travel
  • Occasional travel to include overnight stay

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000.00 - $146,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
