Communication and Negotiation skills are imperative to work closely with suppliers
Retail experience is good
Understanding EDI standards and compliance. Good understanding of EDI Schemas, layout and candidate must have clear understanding how it relevant to retail.
Written, oral, presentation, communication skills are critical
Open to considering candidates with deep expertise in Axway Managed File Transfer who can translate that knowledge and design similar architecture within IBM Sterling.
Proficient with SQL database. Must be able to write complex queries
Proficient in using EDI tools like IBM Sterling/ deep expertise
Must be tech-savvy with a strong understanding of backend integrations, including MQ or other connection types, and possess solid technical expertise in managed file transfers.

Sr. Software Engineer (EDI)

Job Description

Responsible for participating in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software components in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. Establish estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks. Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest quality and in accordance with standards.

Minimum Position Qualifications

5+ years of successful and applicable hands-on experience in software or infrastructure development domain and principles, including design patterns and code structure

5+ years of proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high-quality systems

5+ years of successful and applicable experience taking a lead role in building complex software and automation systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

Expertise in EDI standards and compliance
