Job Details

Role: Informatica Developer 

Location: 100% Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools.
  • Write complex PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and packages for data transformation, validation, and loading.
  • Analyze data sources and perform data mapping, profiling, and cleansing as required.
  • Work closely with business analysts and data architects to gather and understand data requirements.
  • Optimize ETL and SQL processes for performance and scalability.
  • Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and support UAT efforts.
  • Monitor and support production ETL workflows, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Document technical specifications, design artifacts, and support guides.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between systems.
  • Support data warehouse or data lake initiatives as needed.

 

Technical Environment:

  • ETL Tools: Informatica PowerCenter (preferred), Informatica Cloud, or other ETL tools
  • Databases: Oracle 12c/19c, SQL Server, PostgreSQL (as applicable)
  • Languages: PL/SQL, SQL
  • Platforms: Unix/Linux, Windows
  • Version Control: Git, SVN, or equivalent
  • Scheduling Tools: Control-M, Autosys (optional)
  • Others: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL development with Informatica.
  • Strong proficiency in PL/SQL scripting with the ability to write and debug complex queries.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration strategies.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performance tuning in both Informatica and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling, logging, and monitoring best practices.
  • Good understanding of data governance, security, and data quality principles.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
