Duration: Long-term contract
We are seeking an experienced Asset Technician to support the management and distribution of IT hardware and technology assets. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory tracking systems, organizing asset storage, and coordinating the delivery, installation, and removal of hardware and peripherals across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate will have a background in inventory or asset management within a technical environment and strong organizational and communication skills.
< data-start="870" data-end="900">Key Responsibilities:</>
Maintain and update an inventory management system to track all technology assets.
Manage incoming orders and shipments, including tagging and recording items.
Organize and maintain hardware inventory, including CPUs, printers, monitors, cables, and repair/replacement parts.
Support hardware deployments and assist in district-wide replacement strategies.
Coordinate removal and decommissioning of outdated assets.
Document distribution and tracking processes to ensure compliance with IT policies.
Support incident tickets related to hardware replacements and maintenance.
Participate in setup and allocation of equipment across multiple campus locations.
< data-start="1576" data-end="1618">Required Skills & Qualifications:</>
At least 2 years of related work experience in asset or inventory management.
Minimum 1 year experience managing technology assets in environments with 500+ workstations.
Strong technical troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and use ladders up to 12 ft when needed.
Familiarity with asset management and incident tracking systems.
