Job Overview
Overview
This position supports management and senior level leaders of the team providing advanced data analytics and reporting for a wide variety of performance measurement and improvement initiatives. Utilization of modeling software tools to support the development of information system requirements and modeling capabilities to enhance analysis and management of operations. Assists with the identification, analysis and ongoing reporting of quality, cost saving and other operational opportunities while ensuring accountability, focus, strategic alignment and cross functional relationships with the other Fairview entities through the use of metrics based goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate would have a background in surgical services, ideally in a hospital setting as well as a strong background in data analytics and would be capable of interpreting meaning behind the data and applying it to real world situations. A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience with projects that include analysis, data modeling, SQL programming ( or something similar), dashboard/report design with visualizations, and development of technical and functional specifications. Prior Experience In EPIC/Epic OpTime & Anesthesia.
A candidate with the right background of both clinical knowledge and data proficiency. Mainly working on Perioperative Services, will be contacted by physicians. Knowledge of Perioperative Services Operations and how information/workflow processes are supported in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) is essential for success in this role.
Leadership
Lead and facilitate multiple process improvement project teams simultaneously
Serve as internal expert on process improvement tools and techniques
Applying an analytical/quantitative approach to problem solving by obtaining and using data and statistical concepts
Develops and maintains a strong working relationships with champions, sponsors, process owners and team members to become a trusted advisor
Facilitates a boundaryless approach to problem solving - effectively across disciplines, departments and sites
Inspires and guides team to goal achievement
Coach and mentor other team members in analytical / statistical methods
Communicates clearly and effectively
Performance Measurement
Defines and develops internal measurement and reporting systems, including standards for reliability, validity, presentation and analysis.
Identifies and integrates relevant internal and external benchmarking information considering clinical, technical, and financial perspectives.
Aligns Perioperative improvement efforts and measures with the overall Fairview strategic objectives (clinical excellence, customer service, employee and physician engagement, economic performance).
Standardize, document and improve processes and formats for collecting, analyzing and reporting data to meet existing and emerging needs.
Upholds and implements Best Practice standards

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer, Analytical, Engineering, or Healthcare related field
- 5 years of advanced computer, analytical, engineering or healthcare experience
- Previous simulation modeling software experience
- Expert team facilitator
- Excellent math and advanced computer skills
- Strong understanding of basic statistics
- Understanding of care and delivery operations and business operations within a hospital
- High interpersonal skills, respect of peers, and ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Computer, Analytical, Engineering, or Healthcare related field.
- Performance Improvement and project management experience in a healthcare setting
