Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert
Location: Onsite 5 days a week - Fort Belvoir, VA
Description:
Act as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and provide technical and administrative support to enable implementation of complex to extremely complex systems in the subject matter area. Experience with securing systems with multiple components. Make recommendations and provide advice on information systems architecture; networking; automation; communications protocols; risk management framework; cloud computing, software development methodologies; and testing. Coordinate with Project/Product Managers, Assistant Product Managers (APM) and other members of the program acquisition team. Address security requirements/needs at an application program level and identify, document, and implement required processes and procedures to satisfy cybersecurity requirements/needs. Conduct a complete evaluations of the Electronic Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) record or other system being used to ensure alignment with the technical implementation. Support the configuration management (CM) process. Evaluate and validate system configuration, and changes approved through the CM process in the Virtual Private Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Console to ensure the system maintains a secure cyber security posture. Perform continuous monitoring activities for assigned programs/systems to ensure compliance. Review and create documentation IAW DoD and NIST guidelines. Participate in information system (IS) risk assessment(s) during the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process and design security countermeasures to mitigate identified risks. Requires cybersecurity baseline certification and a minimum of ten years of experience in cyber security or a related area.

Certifications Required:
- Requires cybersecurity baseline certification and a minimum of ten years of experience in cyber security or a related area. Must possess and maintain DoD 8570.01-M certifications appropriate to position, (i.e., Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC)) or applicable DoD required certification. - Must satisfy all required DoD, Army, PEO EIS and/or PM DCO required training. Commensurate experience in IT, cloud computing (i.e., AWS / Azure) and cyber security that directly relates to the required area of expertise. Apply current NIST and DoD A&A concepts, practices, and procedures and maintain currency via continuous education training.

- BS in computer science, engineering, information science or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
Clearance Required:
- Top Secret clearance required with SCI
- Special Access Program (SAP) read-on preferred.
