Android Developer - 66816
Pay Rate: $45 - $50/hr
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Android Developer to support a long-term engagement with Google in Mountain View, CA on Hybrid basis. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Android development using Java and Kotlin, with the ability to design, build, and optimize robust mobile applications within a fast-paced engineering environment. The position is Visa Independent and requires working from the office three days a week.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and enhancing Android user experiences, writing unit, integration, and automation tests, and triaging flakes and failures within the Android CI ecosystem. The ideal professional will also maintain the test infrastructure code base, tune scheduling mechanisms, and develop features, tools, and automation that streamline engineering workflows. To be successful in this position, one needs to be highly skilled in debugging using logs, metrics, and code walkthroughs, have a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, and demonstrate the ability to diagnose and resolve defects independently.
The environment is highly collaborative, requiring excellent communication skills, strong analytical thinking, and proficiency with Git or similar version control systems, as well as experience in IDEs commonly used for Android development. The work demands a blend of independent ownership and teamwork to ensure high-quality deliverables for this flagship Google program.
