Job Details

Description

The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across cloud environments. This position supports the Technical and Cloud Services group in delivering automation-first solutions that enhance the reliability, performance, and efficiency of applications serving courts and public safety organizations. The engineer will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure seamless delivery of software products.

Hybrid Work Policy - The new hire is required to work from the office Tuesday's-Thursday's with flex days to work from home on Monday and Friday's.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) to ensure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., CloudWatch, DataDog, ELK Stack) to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues, implementing preventive measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment velocity, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
Qualifications

Required
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or Google Cloud Platform acceptable).
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and system administration (Windows and Linux).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies: Visual Studio, C#, SQL Server, IIS.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., DataDog, CloudWatch, SolarWinds).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

Preferred
  • Experience with .NET Framework and web development practices.
  • Familiarity with tools like Octopus Deploy, Hangfire, RabbitMQ, and ElasticSearch.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft CRM).
  • Exposure to performance tuning and cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.
