Senior Data Analyst

TRN Systems is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Data Analyst for our client, a state government agency, as they progress through the modernization of a claims processing system.  The system to be modernized was developed in the late 90s and is a client-server relational database using Oracle Forms and Reports (PL SQL, Pro C), an Oracle database and FileNet. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Developing data mapping documentation/diagrams
• Creating business, logical, and physical data models
• Participating in data mapping and data conversion in coordination with the State’s technical team and program area staff
• Creating data analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of business
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources
• Filtering and cleaning data 
• Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities
• Working with Vendor and/or State staff to understand Data Integration, Data Mapping, Data Conversion and Implementation

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience working with State or Federal Governments is a plus
• Experience working with legacy systems, including Oracle Forms and Reports (PL SQL, Pro C0 and FileNet
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft-based office applications and SharePoint
• Demonstrated experience on enterprise data migration and conversion projects and teams
• Ability to analyze existing artifact rules and provide solutions to meet the future needs of the agency
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a self-directed manner to accomplish objectives
