Hourly Rate: $65/hr.


ALTA IT Services has a 12-month+ contract opening for a skilled and motivated Senior ERP Developer with demonstrated Workday experience to join our client's dynamic team!
This is a hybrid role - 3 days a week on site in Richmond, VA. Seeking candidates who are local to the Richmond area.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our client's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, deployed as a Software as a Service (SaaS). You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing ERP functionalities, integrating third-party products, and supporting related interfaces and solutions. Additionally, the ERP Developer will support and maintain other SaaS solutions deployed on Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

Essential tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Owns the technical components of the ERP application development lifecycle management.
  • Creates and maintains complex integrations and interfaces between ERP and other applications.
  • Builds and maintains APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for seamless integration with other systems.
  • Supports and maintains other SaaS solutions deployed on Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Analyzes business needs and translates them into technical specifications, develops, tests and deploys changes.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors, to gather requirements and design solutions.
  • Oversees and manages ERP-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Provides technical support for troubleshooting issues, conducts monthly data backups, refreshes lower environments, and monitors production jobs for ERP solutions.
  • Creates custom extensions, modifications, and integrations with ERP solutions, including data manipulation, workflows, and user interfaces.
  • Performs data mapping to ensure data consistency and format compatibility between the ERP and integrated systems.
  • Develops advanced, custom, and matrix reports using the ERP solution Report Writer.
  • Design solutions that consider performance, scalability, and maintainability, and create technical documentation to guide development.
  • Plans and performs unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintains and supports ERP non-production environments.
  • Performs required maintenance activities related to ERP solutions, components, and supporting services.
  • Performs platform upgrades to ERP solutions.
  • Stays up to date on the latest trends and technologies related to ERP solutions
  • Performs other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or a closely related field.
  • Five (5) years in implementing and maintaining Workday modules, specifically Human Capital Management (HCM).
  • Workday HCM or relevant Workday technical certification preferred.

Qualified candidates will have the following:
  • Knowledge of Software Development Methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with other ERP solutions.

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience with Workday Financials and Budget.
