About the Role:

 Tax Services Group is hiring a full-time Sr. Operations Manager to lead operational excellence and support a high-performing remote workforce. In this role, you will oversee a team of seasonal managers, drive service delivery outcomes, and provide critical support through administrative oversight, operational execution, and ad hoc assignments. This strategic, non-seasonal position focuses on consistent leadership, team development, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to a team of remote Seasonal Managers across varying shifts and functional areas.
  • Serve as a point of escalation and alignment for seasonal leadership, ensuring program compliance and consistent policy execution.
  • Promote a high-performance culture through regular feedback, accountability, and recognition.
  • Support workforce planning, readiness, and performance initiatives throughout pre-season, peak, and post-season cycles.
  • Conduct regular coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews with seasonal leadership.
  • Monitor daily and weekly metrics, including KPIs related to NPS, Quality of Service, timecard compliance, system use, and productivity.
  • Maintain oversight of timekeeping, payroll reconciliation, and attendance reporting processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support escalations, policy rollouts, systems issues, and training implementation.
  • Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including team documentation, schedule tracking, meeting facilitation, and internal reporting.
  • Complete ad hoc assignments related to strategic initiatives, special projects, and leadership priorities as needed.
  • Act as a key contributor to the culture, efficiency, and long-term success of the Tax Services Group.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in an operations, customer success, or tax services environment, including 2-4 years managing other managers or team leads.
  • Strong knowledge of seasonal business operations, workforce planning, or client service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a remote environment with diverse, distributed teams.
  • Preferred Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA,
  • Proven ability to analyze operational metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of timekeeping systems, compliance processes, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, systems, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Slack, professional tax software, and workforce management tools.
  • A dedicated workspace with a hardwired Ethernet connection (No Wi-Fi or Satellite internet).
