We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Global CS Finance Team for the Digital and Device products category (D2) including Echo, Kindle e-Readers, FireTV, Amazon Video, Gaming, Music, Alexa Voice Services and more. This position reports to the Sr. Finance Manager of the D2AS organization. The pace and growth of the business along with its increasing complexity makes this role an exciting, interesting and very challenging proposition. As such it requires an individual who is motivated to make a big impact. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will be a creative and analytical problem solver.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional responsibility for OPEX planning including full year and outlook planning, month end analysis and commentary and ad hoc work for Variable and Fixed costs as well as global headcount
Own relationship with contact forecasting team, Headcount capacity planning teams
Business Partnering with Technical Support Operations leadership
Point of contact for reporting of Costs, Contacts and Units for D2AS, for several Digital and Device Product Lines, explaining the cost drivers and providing variance analyses to those product line finance teams
Collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful, actionable reports to drive business improvement and cost reduction
Work closely with the central finance teams on common approaches and timelines
Key team member of World Wide Digital and Devices Customer Service Finance team that contributes to the development of financial planning and analysis tools and Finance Planning & Analysis processes that impact the global strategy
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
