Job Details

Position: Business Systems Analyst

Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)

Job Type: 12+ Months Contract

Required Skills:

  • Strong business analysis experience in financial services.
  • Solid understanding of investment data and asset classes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with SDLC and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, computer science, or related field.
  • 2 5+ years of experience in financial services, ideally supporting buy-side technology.
  • Solid knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of investment data.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile frameworks.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with investment platforms such as Charles River, Eagle, and IBOR.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business activities to define requirements and practical use cases for investment data.
  • Convert complex needs into actionable user stories and detailed specifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams, QA, developers, and business users in an Agile environment.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technology teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate changes in business requirements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Define system scope and objectives based on user needs and industry standards.
  • Ensure accurate data processing through checks and reporting.
  • Aggregate and integrate data from multiple sources to enhance analytics.
  • Maintain and improve data accessibility, quality, and integrity.
  • Oversee implementation of new data products and solutions.
  • Create and maintain training materials and business documentation.
  • Follow SDLC processes before releasing any code.
  • Provide application and production support as needed.
  • Mentor junior Business Systems Analysts.
