Join our team as a Power Electronics EMC Engineer where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of our innovative products. In this position, you will use your expertise in EMC design, testing and compliance to develop solutions that meet global regulatory standards. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability, safety and performance of our products in various applications. Your tasks will include:
Work on power electronics, variable speed drive products as member of global power electronics team on HVACR products.
Hardware design in Power Electronics & 1-Phase & 3-Phase variable speed drives.
Work on circuit design with usage of SiC, GaN based power devices.
Hardware design of MOSFET, IGBT, IPM, SMPS (AC-DC, DC-DC) based circuits.
Preparation of detailed guidelines to PCB layout engineers.
Lead RE/RS 3m Semi Anechoic Chamber and EMC testing activities.
Perform Conducted Radiated Emissions & Radiate Immunity tests, Surge & ESD Tests, troubleshooting and EMC design expertise.
Work on EMI receivers, all EMC equipment and RE chamber maintenance.
Test Power Electronics products per FCC, CISPR, ENXXXX standards.
Coordinate with global lab equipment calibration activity and actively with global team members.
Work with 3rd party labs and agencies as required.
Draft test scripts, prepare test setups and compile detailed test reports
Ideally you will bring:
Minimum Master's Degree in Engineering with power electronics hardware design experience of 5 plus years.
Minimum 3 years of EMC testing experience.
Working Knowledge of all EMC standards.
Hands on EMC testing and compliance experience, in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting EMI/EMC problems on the design.
Hands on all power electronics lab equipment like oscilloscope, power analyzer, EMI receivers, surge testers etc.
Good communication skills.
