SAP PS - Project System Consultant

Location: Kansas City, MO

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in workshops to gather and analyze business requirements related to project management.
• Design, configure, and implement SAP PS solutions to meet client business needs, covering areas such as WBS, Networks, Milestones, Project Costing, Project Planning, Project Reporting, and integration with other modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP).
• Develop functional specifications for custom developments (enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms) and work closely with technical teams (ABAP developers) to ensure successful delivery.
• Execute full life cycle SAP PS implementations, including blueprinting, realization, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.
• Conduct system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide comprehensive training to end-users.
• Support data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP PS.
• Provide ongoing functional support, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to SAP PS.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization within SAP PS to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP functionalities and best practices in SAP PS.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, understanding their business challenges and translating them into SAP solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, documentation, and training materials.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including other SAP module consultants, technical consultants, and project managers.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• [X+] years of hands-on experience as an SAP PS Functional Consultant, including at least [Y+] full lifecycle implementations.

• Project Planning (resource planning, scheduling)
• Result Analysis (RA) and Settlement
• Progress Analysis
• Project Reporting (standard and custom reports)
• Strong integration knowledge with other SAP modules:
• FI (Financial Accounting)
• CO (Controlling - especially CO-OPA, CO-PC)
• SD (Sales and Distribution)
• MM (Materials Management)
• PP (Production Planning)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in writing functional specifications, test scripts, and end-user documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• SAP PS Certification (Associate or Professional).
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps related to Project Systems.
• Experience in specific industries (e.g., Engineering & Construction, Professional Services, Utilities, etc.).
