Title: Systems Engineer HW/SW production issues
Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite, 5 days a week)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support dataset collection operations in Redmond, WA. The role involves ensuring system stability, optimizing operational flow, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues to deliver high-quality datasets. The engineer will collaborate with research and engineering teams, prepare collection environments, and provide system-level support to maintain production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Scope and implement site/room changes for new data collections.
Integrate required hardware/software systems into the collection environment.
Perform test collections and provide final sign-off for system readiness.
Develop and deliver SOPs and training for support staff.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting throughput and quality.
Conduct component power and signal analysis using tools like oscilloscopes.
Parse system and software logs to identify root causes.
Partner with teams to implement system-level improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Systems, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
2 4 years of experience resolving HW/SW production issues in the field.
Experience with command line interfaces, network systems, server systems, and control systems.
Strong troubleshooting ability for ambiguous issues.
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and signal analysis.
Basic knowledge of cameras and lenses.
Experience with motion capture, multi-camera systems, time synchronization, or robotics is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in production environments.

System-level change execution
Oscilloscope usage (power/trigger signal analysis)
Parsing system & software logs
Knowledge of cameras & lenses
Experience with motion capture/multi-camera systems (preferred)
Strong communication & partnership skills
