We need following candidate:

Title: Test Architect

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Indianapolis IN / Portsmouth NH Hybrid Model 2 days from Office

15+ years of experience in software testing with at least 5 years in architectural or leadership roles

Expert knowledge of testing methodologies including Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Testing practices

Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.)

Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and system integration approaches

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable)

Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems testing

Familiarity with database technologies and data validation approaches

Experience in P&C industry

Experience with offshore/nearshore team coordination and management

About the Role

Client is looking for a Test Architect who serves as a strategic leader responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive testing frameworks across enterprise-level systems. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership capabilities to ensure quality delivery through strategic test planning, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

Develop and maintain enterprise-wide test strategies aligned with business objectives and technical architecture

Create comprehensive test plans that cover functional, non-functional, and integration testing requirements

Define testing standards, methodologies, and best practices across multiple projects and teams

Establish test estimation frameworks and resource allocation strategies

Design test data management strategies and environment provisioning approaches

Create and maintain testing documentation templates and governance processes

Risk and Impact Analysis

Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential quality bottlenecks and system vulnerabilities

Perform impact analysis for system changes, upgrades, and new feature implementations

Identify and prioritize business-critical scenarios and user journeys for comprehensive testing coverage

Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for high-impact testing scenarios

Create risk-based testing approaches to optimize testing efforts and resource utilization

Establish early warning systems and quality gates to prevent downstream issues

End-to-End System Integration Testing

Orchestrate complex integration testing scenarios across multiple systems, platforms, and environments

Design and implement integration test frameworks that validate data flow, API interactions, and system dependencies

Coordinate testing activities across distributed teams and third-party vendors

Establish integration testing environments and data synchronization processes

Create automated integration test suites for continuous validation

Manage integration testing schedules and resolve cross-system dependencies

Technical Guidance & Leadership

Provide technical mentorship and guidance to testing teams on advanced testing approaches and methodologies

Evaluate, select, and implement testing tools and technologies that align with organizational needs

Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new testing tools and frameworks

Establish automation strategies and oversee the development of automated testing solutions

Create technical training programs and knowledge sharing sessions for testing teams

Review and approve technical testing designs and implementation approaches

Cross Portfolio Collaboration

Partner with product managers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to align testing strategies with business goals

Facilitate communication between testing teams across different portfolios and business units

Participate in architecture review boards and technical design sessions to influence testability

Coordinate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines

Collaborate with release management teams to ensure quality gates and testing checkpoints

Work with vendor management teams to establish testing requirements for third-party integrations

Non-Functional Testing Oversight

Design and implement performance testing strategies including load, stress, and scalability testing

Establish security testing frameworks and coordinate with cybersecurity teams for vulnerability assessments

Oversee accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines and regulatory requirements

Implement usability testing approaches and coordinate with UX teams

Design reliability and disaster recovery testing scenarios

Create monitoring and alerting strategies for production quality metrics

Quality Metrics & Reporting

Define and implement comprehensive quality metrics and KPIs that provide actionable insights

Create executive-level dashboards and reporting mechanisms for quality visibility

Establish test coverage metrics and ensure adequate coverage across all testing dimensions

Implement defect tracking and analysis processes to identify trends and improvement opportunities

Generate regular quality reports for stakeholders and leadership teams

Conduct post-release quality assessments and lessons learned sessions

Required Education

Masters or Engineering degree

Required Experience

15+ years of experience in software testing with at least 5 years in architectural or leadership roles

Expert knowledge of testing methodologies including Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Testing practices

Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.)

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing tools

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling)

Knowledge of security testing tools and methodologies

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies

Leadership & Communication

Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority

Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Experience in mentoring and developing testing professionals

Ability to translate business requirements into technical testing strategies

Domain Knowledge

Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and system integration approaches

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable)

Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems testing

Familiarity with database technologies and data validation approaches

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, CSTE, or equivalent

Experience in P&C industry

Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI/ML testing, IoT testing, or blockchain testing

Experience with offshore/nearshore team coordination and management

9 to 5 PM EST
