JD:
- As a CPE architect, closely work with system architects, software engineers, product managers and business stakeholders to create & review business and technical requirements, issue RFP/RFIs as required, short list, evaluate and select vendors, facilitate end-to-end engineering estimates. Integrate the CPEs with GFiber OSS, BSS and tools and develop system evolution roadmaps.
- Work with stakeholders on make-vs-buy decisions for key system modules.
- Lead the CPE development test team to qualify any new product with new wireless technology for use in GFiber production network
- Define requirements for new CPE features, develop testing and analysis methodologies to quantitatively determine if various platforms, technologies, and devices meet business needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert on all things Wi-Fi to investigate, analyze and resolve GFiber production network and customer issues collaborating with cross-functional teams as required
- Manage CPE vendor selection process, engage w/ relevant vendors, partners, and standardization bodies to advance the networking/telecommunication industry to the next level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7 years of working as a Lead CPE/Product Architect in SP/Vendor environment
- Deep understanding of the CPE vendor ecosystem: chipsets, systems, operating systems, applications, open source/proprietary firmware, ODM/OEMs, and standard bodies.
- Expert in Wi-Fi and LAN, including 802.11 standards (Wi-Fi 6/6, 802.11k/v/r/w), advanced RF principles, band steering/management, EasyMesh, QoS (WMM), and WiFi security protocols.
- Experienced in CPE architectures: IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT, advanced routing, L2 protocols and telemetry systems (TR-069/CWMP, TR-369/USP, SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX) for monitoring and remote management.
- A Wi-Fi testing expert proficient in Ixia, Spirent, and Candela (TR398) for performance, stability, and interoperability.
